Why “Nocturnal”…??

So I fired my boss when I was 27 years old.  Since then, it’s been a life of sleeping all morning and staying awake all night (and also some traveling and fun).

Come to think of it, my real motivation to starting and owning an online business that would give me total freedom to do whatever i want was driven by this desire – to NEVER have to get up early, face the dreaded early morning and mid day hours stuck in traffic, slaving away for a boss… and be at my best when the sun is shining over in China.

Why nocturnal?  There’s just something about the daytime that keeps me restless.  I absolutely HATE the late afternoon to evening hours.  And I don’t enjoy waking up in the morning either.  When darkness falls, I’m finally at peace…

(Sound familiar?)

People have called me vampire, but I like more of the “good” side of nocturnal-ism… so I prefer Batman.  Plus, he’s way cooler.

But I’m not sure what else it is.  Something triggers total unease inside me between the hours of 4pm and 9pm.  I can’t focus, and I just get irritated.  My body just loves the late late night hours, so that’s when I get all my “work” done.  I’m just so much more relaxed and awake.  I’ve tried fighting it in the past, but I’ve accepted it as my destiny.

And with this blog… I’ve officially declared it as my identity.  It’s who I am.

My goal here is to reveal how anyone can build a life of what they desire.  A lot of business opportunities will promise the material things.  Expensive cars, clothes, big houses, traveling, etc.  And although those things may be a motivation for people to get into online business, I think it very much differs for each person.

I think it’s all about what a person truly identifies with and has an innate calling towards.

So ask yourself… what is your “calling”?  What’s the thing that your soul yearns for most at this point?  It could be anything, even if it might be considered “weird”.

For me, it was having the freedom to stay up as late as I want.  For you, it may be wanting to draw or write all day sitting at a coffee shop… or spending time with your kids.  Maybe it’s cooking, or watching Kung-Fu flicks and writing about them on your blog.  Whatever!

THAT’S the true motivator for people to get into the online business game, from a positive side (there is a pain-driven motivator which is supposed to be stronger).  It can be done… and I’m going to share my ideas on how I was able to do it using the internet, and still doing it now.
